Tailwind Group Acquires Student Housing Property in Huntsville, TX
Tailwind Group and its partners are pleased to announce the recent acquisition of Connection at Huntsville in Huntsville, Texas. This property is situated near Sam Houston State University and features 288 units and 792 bedrooms. The asset was purchased from an undisclosed seller, and the deal was brokered by Brandon Buell and his team at Berkadia. This is Tailwind Group’s third student housing acquisition thus far in 2025.


In the coming months, this property will be rebranded to The Quarters Huntsville, one of Tailwind Group’s flagship garden-style brands. It will undergo a strategic capital improvement plan that includes a complete renovation and redesign of the clubhouse and leasing office, replacement of roofs and gutters, and strategic deferred maintenance and unit improvements.
